Dear Followers,
I have been receiving a lot of messages as the one above. Apparently there is a person going around on tumblr, befriending members of the lgbt community who are not yet out to their parents. She then sends their parents letters outing them. (S)he pretends to want to be your pen pal or wants to send you a letter/gift via mail. (S)he will do anything to get your address. Please be careful. I’d really appreciate you guys reblogging this or making a similar post letting your friends/followers know. Just because that person’s blog was deleted doesn’t mean (s)he won’t come back.

People are crazy as fuck.

This makes me so fucking angry.

Someone needs to out her as the sick fuck she is.

"this is why Disney’s gotta start representing more than just skinny, pretty white girls. Just sayin. " Sorry I was just trying to point out that...hey they sort of have.

I guess sort of :) I mean, they’re getting closer, anyway. I take your point.

Actually Rapunzel was the first "white" princess for Disney since 1991, almost 20 years. There was Jasmine, Mulan, Tiana and Pocahontas, none of whom were white. I understand your complaint about "skinny" though. And most fairy tales are European so maybe disney was just trying to be accurate.

Um okay. Including one Arab girl, one Asian girl, one Black girl and one Native girl isn’t truly representation in my books - it’s a token gesture so they can go back to being white-centric. I dunno. I wish there was more variety and I don’t think that’s too much to ask. And uh, as for accuracy, I kinda doubt that Disney cares about that, considering how much they already change the fairy tales to suit their conservative values.

“When we were kids my sister never let me dress up as my favorite princess Ariel, because she had red hair and blue eyes and I didn’t. I would get so jealous of my sister knowing I could never look like Ariel, but then I found Belle, who was more like me in looks and personality. After that I was never jealous of my sister. I have Belle to thank for saving me from comparing myself to my older sister.”

this is why Disney’s gotta start representing more than just skinny, pretty white girls. Just sayin.

  7. "If you are a white woman and you want to call yourself a feminist, you must acknowledge that your whiteness affords you a privilege that shields you from a lot. You must also acknowledge that you are afforded privileges that some men in this country do not have. Racism and sexism are tightly intertwined. You cannot fight one while ignoring the other."
